Tuesday 10 December took place in Ouagadougou, the Ceremony of the official Launch of the Campaign #Tousensemblepourtibga un projet d’envergure pour la santé des habitants de la commune de Tibga, située dans la région de l’Est du Burkina Faso. La cérémonie officielle a réuni des acteurs majeurs du développement local et international, parmi lesquels le Préfet et Président de la Délégation Spéciale de Tibga, le Président Résident du PNUD Alfredo Teixeira, le Directeur Général de Terra Invest Africa Batiana Ismael Franck Nacro, ainsi que Mme Bicaba, Chargée de communication de la Fondation Edmond Tapsoba. Ce lancement a également été l’occasion de souligner l’importance d’un projet qui ne se limite pas à la construction d’infrastructures, mais qui s’inscrit dans une démarche de transformation sociale durable.

A Visionary Project for the Health Tibga

The project #Tousensemblepourtibga a pour objectif de répondre à des besoins sanitaires urgents dans la commune de Tibga, qui ne dispose actuellement ni de laboratoire fonctionnel, ni de maternité aux normes. Avec une maternité existante qui n’a que trois lits et un manque d’infrastructures adaptées, le projet vise à offrir un accès de qualité aux soins de santé pour les habitants, en particulier les femmes et les enfants. Le projet inclut la construction d’une maternité moderne et d’un laboratoire, conformément aux standards de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS), afin de garantir des soins de qualité, réduire la mortalité maternelle et infantile, et offrir des services médicaux de proximité à la population.

UNDP (United Nations program for Development), has played a central role in policy advice and advocacy for the financing necessary for the implementation of this project. Alfredo Teixeira, President UNDP Resident, expressed his pride to accompany an initiative that has a direct impact on the lives of rural populations in Burkina Faso, and he was reminded of the importance of supporting community projects that promote inclusive development.

Terra Invest Africa, the main contractor of the project, provides the complete management of the work, from design to delivery, ensuring that each phase of the project complies with the standards of sustainability and quality. Kéré Architecture, un cabinet d’architecture de renommée internationale dirigé par Diébédo Francis Kéré, est responsable de la conception des infrastructures. Kéré, premier Africain à recevoir le prestigieux prix Pritzker, est connu pour son architecture qui allie innovation, durabilité, et respect des valeurs culturelles locales. Le design de la maternité et du laboratoire reflétera ainsi une approche profondément enracinée dans les traditions africaines, tout en étant résolument tournée vers l’avenir, avec des matériaux locaux et des solutions écologiques adaptées aux réalités climatiques du Burkina Faso.

Lors de son intervention, Batiana Ismael Franck Nacro, Directeur Général de Terra Invest Africa, a souligné les défis rencontrés dans les campagnes de financement participatif traditionnelles. Selon lui, dans beaucoup de projets, les donateurs manquent souvent de visibilité sur la gestion des fonds. “On ne sait pas toujours combien a été collecté, on ne sait pas si l’argent a réellement été utilisé pour le projet. Et parfois, on hésite à demander des comptes, par peur d’être perçu comme quelqu’un qui manque de confiance”, a-t-il expliqué.
